Chemlab
Machine Rock pioneers CHEMLAB have released seven albums and remix discs to intense national acclaim and, twenty years on, are underground icons of the Industrial Music scene. They’ve toured extensively across the US with Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie, KMFDM, GWAR, SKREW, Sister Machine Gun, 16 Volt, Skeleton Key, Die Warsau and countless others. The last tour across the States was well attended, numbers running anywhere between 200 and 800 depending on the market. CHEMLAB have left Invisible Records and are about to announce that they’re signing with a major independent label with excellent distribution and promotion. CHEMLAB are writing their new album now. It’ll be released in the new year and they’re hoping to get out on the road across the US to promote it as well as the re-release of their back catalog.
16volt
The legendary industrial-metal machine rockers 16volt are gearing up for a Spring 2010 North American Tour. Featuring 16volt’s own Eric Powell at the helm, this tour’s lineup will include Steve White (KMFDM/Pig), Mike Peoples (Skrew/Daniel Ash), Jason Bazinet (Chemlab/SMP) and Sean Payne (Cyanotic). Following 2007’s highly acclaimed “comeback” album “FullBlackHabit”, 16volt took to the road in Spring of 2008 for the “Denial Highway Tour” playing to old and new fans alike on their first headline tour since playing direct support to KMFDM’s “Sturm & Drang Tour”. Immediately following the tour, 16volt entered the studio again to create their latest masterpiece “American Porn Songs” released in September 2009 on Metropolis Records. Side-Line calls this latest release the bands “breakout album” while ReGen Magazine gives the album 5 out of 5 stars calling it “the bands best release to date”. 16volt is currently launching a contest that will feature remixes of American Porn Songs by the likes of Die Warzau, KMFDM, Front Line Assembly and more. The remix album will be released on Metropolis just weeks before the start of the tour on April 31st in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. 16volt is also confirmed at this years “Festival Kinetik” in Montreal, Canada which will be part of this highly anticipated tour from one of the underground’s greats.
